Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MAMASUMA collects and uses personal information when you visit the website, create an account, place an order, contact customer support or interact with our services.

7.1 Personal Information We Collect

We may collect information such as your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number if you provide one, order details, payment confirmation details, account information, customer-service messages, review content, ratings, marketing preferences, IP address, device information, browser information, approximate location, cookie identifiers and website usage data.

7.2 How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information to operate the store, process orders, take payment, arrange fulfilment and delivery, provide customer support, manage returns and refunds, collect and display product reviews, prevent fraud, secure the website, comply with legal obligations, improve the store and, where permitted, send newsletters, promotional emails, abandoned-cart or abandoned-checkout communications.

7.3 Legal Bases for Processing

Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we process personal information on legal bases that may include performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests, consent and, where necessary, the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

7.4 Service Providers and Partners

We may share personal information with service providers needed to operate the store, including Shopify, payment providers, fraud-prevention providers, shipping carriers, fulfilment partners, warehouse providers, suppliers, email providers, analytics providers, marketing platforms, review tools, professional advisers and authorities where required by law.

Depending on how you interact with the store, service providers may include PayPal Business or other payment providers for payments, ZhenHub for fulfilment, shipping management, inventory and order synchronisation, Omnisend for email collection, marketing automation, abandoned-cart and abandoned-checkout communications, and Judge.me for product reviews and ratings.

Supplier-direct shipping may also involve sharing the delivery information needed to fulfil the order.

7.5 International Transfers

Because MAMASUMA sells internationally and works with ecommerce, payment, fulfilment, supplier and technology partners, personal information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence. Where required by applicable law, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms or safeguards.

7.6 Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, including order administration, tax, accounting, legal, fraud-prevention, warranty and customer-service purposes. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and applicable law.

7.7 Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to or receive a copy of your personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority.

To exercise privacy rights, contact online@mamasuma.xyz. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

7.8 Customer Accounts

If customer accounts are available, account data is used to manage login, order history, customer experience and related store functionality. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.

7.9 Reviews

If you submit a product review, rating, photo or related content, the information you provide may be processed through Judge.me and may be displayed publicly on the website together with your display name and review content. Please do not include sensitive personal information in reviews.

7.10 Marketing

MAMASUMA may use Omnisend or similar tools to offer newsletters, promotional emails, email collection forms, retargeting, abandoned-cart or abandoned-checkout communications. Where consent is required, marketing will only be sent with consent. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.

Transactional emails about orders, shipping, returns, customer support or important service information are not treated as optional marketing communications, although they may be sent using ecommerce or email-service providers.

7.11 Children

The website is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us.

8. Cookie Policy

The website may use cookies, pixels, local storage and similar technologies to operate the store, remember preferences, support checkout, secure the website, analyse traffic, measure performance and, where enabled, provide advertising or retargeting.

Cookies may include essential cookies, analytics cookies, functionality cookies and advertising cookies. Essential cookies are needed for the store to work. Non-essential cookies may require consent depending on your location.

Third-party services may include Shopify, analytics providers, advertising platforms, payment providers such as PayPal, review apps such as Judge.me, fulfilment or shipping tools such as ZhenHub, chat tools or email-marketing tools such as Omnisend depending on the features enabled on the store.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings and, where available, through the cookie banner or consent-preference tool on the website. Blocking certain cookies may affect store functionality.

9. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

If you have a complaint, please contact us first at online@mamasuma.xyz. Please include your order number, a clear description of the issue and any relevant evidence. We will try to resolve the matter directly and fairly.

The European Commission’s former Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025. Customers in the European Union may consult the European Commission’s consumer redress information and may contact the European Consumer Centres Network where eligible for cross-border consumer guidance.
